Above and below, the room adjoining the living room where General Grant died containing floral arrangements that had been sent to the cottage for his funeral. These floral arrangements are the originals, preserved in some manner after the funeral with a wax coating of some type. The arrangement in the middle of the table was from G.A.R. (Grand Army of the Republic) Post Number 1.
